It's been a long time coming, but Calvary United Methodist Church in Dunkirk, Indiana finally has its very own website. With the admin board's permission, I had tried to get one up and running through another platform a couple of years ago, but it was extremely difficult to set up, edit, and manage.

I won't make light of the coronavirus crisis. Many people I know have been personally impacted by this awful disease in many ways. At the same time, some opportunities have come out of it. One of these is that Tithe.ly (a company that provides services to churches including online giving and website creation and hosting) decided to temporarily waive their normal setup fee for new church websites to be created. So, I signed up before the 31-May-2020 deadline. What you see now is what I was able to set up and edit in just a few hours. It's not done yet, of course, but it was so much quicker and easier than the other platform.

So, welcome to the website and my first blog post on it. On behalf of the people and ministries at Calvary, we're glad you're here and we hope you'll be back and always remember that NOTHING can separate you from Jesus' love. As the Apostle Paul wrote:

Romans 8:37-39
37 No, in all these things we are more than victorious
through Him who loved us.
38 For I am persuaded that not even death or life,
angels or rulers,
things present or things to come, hostile powers,
39 height or depth, or any other created thing
will have the power to separate us
from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord!
