I've talked about my Grandma before, particularly the fact that she had a saying for every situation - and often, more than one.

For example, if I said I "intended" to do something (this was usually in reference to something she had wanted me to do), but hadn't done it, I would hear: "the road to hell is paved with good intentions."

If I attempted to discuss the matter further, she would tell me that "if something is important to you, you will make time for it."

Ouch... because it is true, isn't it? Consciously or unconsciously we make choices as to what’s important, what we will make time for, what our priorities need to be.

The verse I ended with yesterday was: Isaiah 55:6 Seek the Lord while He may be found; call to Him while He is near.

The implication, of course, is that it is possible to wait until it is too late – that there will be a day when He will no longer be found. Consequently, I believe my first priority must always be to seek Him – and I have His promise…

Jeremiah 29:13-14a You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you”—this is the Lord’s declaration—“.

Father God, this must be my top priority: to seek You first, to seek Your ways first. Other things will fall into place if I am fully committed to You and Your ways. Lord and Savior Jesus, You are the Way, so my seeking and finding the Father is through You and because of what You have done for me. Holy Spirit, in this priority and in all things, You are my Teacher, my Guide, my Helper and so much more. Bring my vision into focus to see God and fully surrender my will, my priorities, ways, and my actions to Yours. Through You – Holy Three-in-One I pray, Amen.

Psalm 105:4 Search for the Lord and for His strength; seek His face always.
